​I am Dr. Hona Backstrom. When a new patient walks through my door I  take the time to listen and understand what they are going through, both mentally and physically. It is of the upmost importance that you feel safe in my clinic. Together, we make a plan to improve your life by decreasing pain, improving mobility and feeling more balanced physically and emotionally. My treatment style is trauma informed and consent driven.

 

With a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, and a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist with the NCCAOM you will be in good hands. I am specially trained in Orthopedic Acupuncture (the original and more specific version of dry needling) and have extensively studied treating low back pain, sciatica, and neck pain. I specialize in prenatal and postpartum care and have worked with countless mamas to have a positive birth experience.
